Role Description

An excellent opportunity to join a dynamic vibrant team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex as a Domestic / Commercial Gas Safe Engineering technician. Your role would be to take the lead in the management and installation of Gas Safe systems on projects including the installation and maintenance of gas boilers and support in the Installation of air source heat pumps. The candidate will be expected to be able to work independently or as part of a lager team. The candidate would need to live within daily commuting distance of Haywards Heath. The candidate would be carrying out installations and also maintaining building services plant, equipment at various sites. The candidate will provide a ‘hands on’ service to our clients using skills to repair / replace components as required and generally supporting the BSEFM team. The candidate would ideally be open to learning new skills, particularly in the air conditioning and ventilation fields.

Principle responsibilities will include:

· Maintain excellent client relationships and contacts to help achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

· Maintain records of all plumbing installations and provide Gas safe records as required in accordance with legislation.

· Manage the Facilities Management maintenance works in relation to gas boilers and mains unvented cylinders.

· Support our team to achieve the best value installation and maintenance for each site.

· Understand principal components of each building services system to converse faults / improvements to the client.

· Implement QA systems and procedures on all projects.

· Report any staff performance problems to the Directors and agree corrective action.

· Implement Company Health and Safety. Ensure all installations align to the CDM regulations.

· Identify training / CPD requirements that would help you with your work and keep us best in class employer.

Experience and Qualifications

· Have a good understanding of appropriate legislation and standards, building Regulations and Codes of Practice applicable for each building maintained.

· City and Guilds qualifications (or similar) in specialist field and Gas Safe certification is essential.

· Experience in the installation and maintenance field with adequate knowledge and experience.

· Experience of a construction site and preferably CSCS card qualifications.

Electrical qualifications are also desired but are not a pre-requisite for this role.

Base Salary is based upon a minimum working hours of 40 hrs / week.

Overtime is paid upon approval.

A bonus is rewarded upon discretion of directors based upon KPI's monitored by the appraisal process
