Commercial Director - Social-led Media and Agency Business

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days in office)

Overview

A leading media and creative agency group is seeking a forward-thinking Commercial Director to lead commercial strategy, drive new business growth, and build out a high-performing revenue engine across both agency services and strategic partnerships.

This is a rare opportunity to join a values-led, socially-native business with a unique commercial model that combines influencer marketing, content creation, and partnerships at scale. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in both strategic planning and senior stakeholder engagement.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading and growing the sales and marketing functions, identifying new revenue opportunities, and driving commercial performance across social/influencer agency services and strategic brand partnerships.

This senior, hands-on role requires a deep understanding of social media — platform knowledge and strategic insight into how social integrates into broader brand and marketing goals. Experience in scaling commercial teams, developing product-market fit, and creating winning pitches is essential.

We seek a commercially minded, strategic individual with a passion for storytelling, innovation, and delivering results in a fast-paced creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end commercial strategy across agency and partnership streams
  • Support product development and go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve ambitious recurring revenue targets
  • Build and manage a high-performing, cross-functional sales, strategy, and marketing team
  • Develop and nurture new business pipelines
  • Partner with marketing to shape go-to-market strategies and campaign narratives
  • Identify and evolve revenue streams in influencer/social-first services and strategic brand partnerships
  • Represent the company at client meetings and industry events

  • Proven experience in senior commercial, business development, or growth roles within media, digital, or creative agencies
