Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)

Overview

A leading media and creative agency group is seeking a forward-thinking Commercial Director to lead commercial strategy, drive new business growth, and build a high-performing revenue engine across agency services and strategic partnerships.

This is a rare opportunity to join a values-led, socially-native business with a unique commercial model that combines influencer marketing, content creation, and partnerships at scale. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in both strategic planning and high-level pitching to senior stakeholders.

The Role

Responsible for leading and expanding the sales and marketing functions, identifying new revenue opportunities, and enhancing commercial performance across social/influencer agency services and strategic brand partnerships.

This senior, hands-on role requires a deep understanding of social media—not just platform knowledge but strategic insight into how social integrates with broader brand and marketing goals. Experience in scaling commercial teams, developing product-market fit, and creating winning pitches is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for agency and partnership streams
  • Support product development and go-to-market strategies—defining offerings, target audiences, and delivery methods
  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve ambitious recurring revenue targets
  • Build and manage a high-performing, cross-functional sales/strategy/marketing team
  • Develop and nurture new business pipelines to support growth
  • Partner with marketing to craft go-to-market strategies and campaign narratives
  • Identify and develop revenue streams across influencer/social agency services and strategic brand partnerships
  • Represent the company at senior levels in client meetings and industry events

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in senior commercial, business development, or growth roles within media, digital, or creative agencies
  • Strong expertise in social media—platforms, content formats, influencer marketing, algorithms, and cultural trends
  • Ability to align social strategies with broader brand and business goals
  • Track record of scaling revenue and commercial teams
  • Strategic thinker with creativity—able to develop frameworks, narratives, and successful pitches
