Job Purpose

As a Commercial Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to optimise business performance, provide insight and support decision-making. You will work with existing company data platforms while contributing to the development of a company-wide Azure-based data lake, ensuring seamless integration and enabling advanced analytics.

Your responsibilities will include data extraction, cleaning, visualisation, and analysis, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities.

This role requires a bright and enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in a data reporting role supporting buying and merchandising teams in a retail business. Candidates should have retail experience and at least 5 years of experience with SQL, SSIS, and SSRS software.

Effective communication is essential, as you will work with all levels of staff and across departments within the function.

• Extract, clean, and transform data from existing platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, or bespoke systems).
• Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and availability.
