Job Description:

My client, a leading international crypto firm, is looking to hire a counsel to join their impressive legal team in London. This role will initially be 8 months with potential to become permanent. Responsibilities include:

• Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: Terms of service and user agreements for crypto platforms, smart contract terms (in collaboration with developers), token purchase agreements, SAFTs (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens), and private sale agreements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the business adheres to relevant financial regulations (e.g., AML/KYC, securities laws), advising on compliance with jurisdiction-specific crypto laws (e.g., SEC in the U.S., MiCA in the EU), helping register entities, obtain licenses (e.g., MSB, VASP), or engage with regulators.
• Risk Management and Legal Structuring: Structuring the business entity or token ecosystem to mitigate legal risk (e.g., offshore jurisdictions, DAOs), advising.
