Job summary

Job description
What you will do

The key deliverables include :

  • Daily position monitoring, analysis and balancing within a given market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers.
  • Lead resolutions with supporting back office functions.
  • Identify commercial opportunities across the value chain including storage, gathering and long haul transportation agreements.
  • Developing complex global and regional balances to enhance opportunity identification across all markets, to inform trading opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining live dashboards, to provide technical and fundamental analysis, in order to identify market opportunities.
  • Evaluating routine trading economics.
  • Preparing economics and relevant documentation for term contracts and complex tenders; including acting as the primary interface with our risk control, operations, optimization, schedulers and other supporting teams.
  • Assisting with special projects, testing and roll-outs (as required).
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our trade execution process.
  • Monitor quality across various parts of the gathering, storage and transportation assets.
  • Provide support / coverage, as required, to supply chain schedulers.
  • Providing coverage for the desk trader, subject to experience, demonstrated capability and ongoing professional development.
About you

To be eligible for this role, you must :

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any numerate subject including Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics orFinance based qualification.
  • Prior experience within in physical or financial commodity trading or associated support functions including risk management, market analytics or supply chain scheduling.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, an entrepreneurial mind-set and analytical / IT skills.
  • Possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a multi-cultural team environment.
  • Have fluent English language skills (written and spoken), with additional language skills being an advantage.
