Job Description:

Your new company: Your new role working as a Broker Underwriter means that you will be working for a mid-market Commercial Insurer based in the city, which has been serving its customers for over 40 years. The role involves providing efficient, timely, and professional support to brokers for new business, renewals, midterm adjustments, and general inquiries. Due to exciting growth within their team, a fantastic opportunity for a Broker Underwriter to join their London team has arisen.

Your responsibilities include:

• Trading, underwriting, and service activities
• Dealing with Commercial combined business
• Proactively developing strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers
• Underwriting commercial combined/SME risks within the Broker Business team, wholesale business
• Quoting new business and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals)

What you'll need to succeed:

• At least 5 years of experience in insurance underwriting within commercial/SME lines
• Good understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry
• Knowledge and experience of underwriting insurance risks
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines
• Good communication and negotiation skills
