Your new company: Your new role working as a Broker Underwriter means that you will be working for a mid-market commercial Insurer based in the city, where it has been serving its customers for over 40 years. Providing efficient, timely, and professional support to brokers for both new business & renewals, midterm adjustments, and general enquiries. Due to exciting growth within their team, a fantastic opportunity for a Broker Underwriter to join their London team has arisen.

Your new job working as a Broker Underwriter means you will be responsible for:

1. Trading, underwriting, and service activities
2. Dealing with commercial combined business
3. Proactively developing strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers
4. Underwriting commercial/SME risks within the Broker Business team, wholesale business
5. Quoting new business, and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals)

What you'll need to succeed:

• At least 5 years experience in insurance underwriting within commercial/SME lines
• Good understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry
• Knowledge and experience of underwriting insurance risks
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines
• Good communication and negotiation skills
