Job summary

Ashfords in Bristol is seeking an Associate with 3-6 years PQE to join our Commercial team. You will work closely with Partners on non-contentious commercial matters, advising a range of clients from startups to international organisations on contracts, data protection and technology work.

In this role you will draft, negotiate and review a wide spectrum of agreements, build client relationships, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Experienced commercial lawyer with a proven track record.
• Experience in data or technology work preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and review of commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts including SaaS, goods & services agreements.
• Advise on software, hardware, maintenance and support contracts.
• Handle data processing and sharing provisions across contracts.
• Review data protection warranties and disclosures in transaction documents.
• Assist with agency and distribution arrangements.
