Job summary

Simmons & Simmons in London or Bristol seeks an Associate (1-3 PQE) to join its Digital Business team, advising on commercial technology transactions, cloud and outsourcing, and AI projects for leading clients.

You will work with partners and senior lawyers across the group, gaining early responsibility, developing client relationships and contributing to cross-border deals in a dynamic, technology-led practice.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' PQE gained within a leading commercial, technology or commercial contracts practice.
• Strong experience advising on commercial technology transactions, procurement, outsourcing and complex contracts.
• Interest in AI, digital transformation and emerging technologies.
• Experience with data protection and privacy matters is advantageous.
• Excellent drafting, technical and analytical skills.
• Commercially minded with a strong client focus and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Advise on technology procurement, licensing and implementation projects.
• Work on cloud services, SaaS arrangements and outsourcing transactions.
• Contribute to AI and other emerging technology matters for domestic and international clients.
• Develop client relationships and participate in business development initiatives.
