Job summary

Airborne Environmental Consultants Ltd (AEC) is seeking a Qualified Commercial Asbestos Surveyor to join our team in Manchester/Liverpool. A salary of £35,000 DOE plus a company van, fuel card and overtime is offered, along with private healthcare and strong benefits.

The role involves surveys on commercial properties, reporting via AlphaTracker, and opportunities to progress toward dual-qualified analyst/surveyor.

Qualifications

• P402 qualified; preferably UKAS consultancy background.
• Knowledge of current surveying legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out surveys on commercial properties.
• Enter information on a tablet during surveys.
• Review and amend reports from AlphaTracker as needed.
• Understand surveying legislation and ensure full compliance.
• Carry out different types of surveys and develop skills for progression.
• Mentor Trainee Surveyors on site.
• Maintain relationships with coworkers and the public.
• Willing to travel and participate in weekend rota as required.
• Adhere to vehicle policies and maintain the assigned van.

Responsibilities

• Carry out surveys on commercial properties.
• Entering all information onto a tablet whilst carrying out surveys.
• Checking and approving reports from the AlphaTracker system and making amendments where necessary.
• Fully understand legislation surrounding surveying.
• Be fully competent in carrying out different types of surveys.
• Develop your skill set and move onto commercial properties and then industrial
• Mentor Trainee Surveyors on site
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
• Be willing to work away from home and participate in a weekend rota as required.
• Adhere to company vehicle policies, ensuring safe driving and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.

Skill Set

At least P402 qualified and ideally with a background of working in a UKAS accredited consultancy, you will have a track record of undertaking a range of surveys across commercial and domestic properties. Your knowledge of current legislation and compliance should also be of an excellent standard.
