Job summary

Airborne Environmental Consultants Ltd in Essex or London is seeking an Asbestos Analyst to join our growing team. You will perform asbestos air testing and 4-stage clearance on-site, with opportunities to expand qualifications as needed.

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum plus a company van, fuel card, private healthcare, loyalty bonuses, and ongoing training and progression within a supportive, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Holds P403 and P404 qualifications.
• At least 18 months of asbestos air testing and air-monitoring experience.
• Excellent communication on-site and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out air tests including 4 stage clearance and background tests.
• Build strong relationships with contractors and clients.
• Maintain high standards of administrative work per UKAS procedures.
• Exhibit professionalism in site work and with colleagues and the public.
• Follow health and safety protocols and maintain punctuality.
• Develop skills to perform at your best on ongoing sites.
• Adhere to company vehicle policies and vehicle maintenance.

What We’re Looking For

• Holds P403 and P404 qualifications
• Has at least 18 months experience in asbestos air testing and air-monitoring
• Communicates clearly and confidently, both written and verbal
• Is a proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic
• Understands the principles of the HSG 248 Analyst Guide
• Can adapt to client needs and provide excellent service on-site
• Be willing to work away from home and participate in a weekend rota as required.

Your Responsibilities

• Carry out air tests including 4 stage clearances, background tests, leak reassurance, and more
• Build strong relationships with contractors and clients
• Maintain high standards of administrative work, following AEC UKAS procedures
• Exhibit professionalism in site work and interactions with co-workers, supervisors, and the public
• Stay on top of health & safety protocols, ensuring consistent attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance
• Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to perform at your best
• Adhere to company vehicle policies, ensuring safe driving and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
