M&G plc, a leading UK financial services group, is seeking a Commercial Analyst on a fixed-term contract to 2027. You will support commercial management of major supplier contracts and ensure regulatory controls.

The role involves governance, cost validation, and developing supplier management best practices. Ideal candidates will bring strong analytical skills, experience in regulatory/commercial environments, and familiarity with AI-enhanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience providing analytical support in complex business environments.
• Understanding of financial modelling and contract management principles.
• Familiarity with commercial negotiation techniques and sourcing processes.
• Desirable: professional qualifications (CIMA, Prince2, IACCM).

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory and key control requirements for outsourced supplier services.
• Challenge supplier charges and ensure invoices align with contract timescales.
• Provide analytical and reporting support to Commercial Managers.
• Identify commercial opportunities and risks through market trends.
• Lead supplier governance and attend executive governance meetings to record actions.
• Support development of supplier management best practice.
• Manage cost validation and forecasting cycles.
• Respond to contract information queries from the wider business.
• Independently manage aspects of contracts under direction.
