Job summary

M&G is seeking a Commercial Analyst on a fixed-term contract in Huddersfield. You will support day-to-day commercial management of major contracts and ensure regulatory controls for outsourced services while identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving governance across supplier relationships.

Your background should include strong analytical skills, finance modelling, and experience with procurement or outsourcing in financial services.

Qualifications

• Experience providing analytical support in complex business environments.
• Experience in commercial/regulatory environments within financial services.
• Experience with third-party suppliers/outsource arrangements.
• Desirable: professional qualifications in finance/procurement

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory and key control requirements for outsourced supplier services are delivered.
• Ensure supplier charges are accurate and invoices paid per contract timelines.
• Provide analytical and reporting support to Commercial Managers.
• Provide insights on industry trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Challenge cost base to identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service.
• Lead supplier commercial governance, record minutes, and actions at executive level meetings.
• Support development and application of Supplier Management best practice.
• Manage cost validation and forecasting cycles.
• Respond to queries for contract information.
• Independently manage some contract aspects and smaller projects.
• Explore and implement AI to bring efficiencies.
