Job summary

M&G seeks a Commercial Analyst on a fixed-term contract to end June 2027, supporting the Life and Asset Management segments. You will analyse supplier contracts, manage governance, and drive cost efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance across outsourced services.

The role emphasises analytical rigor, stakeholder engagement, and opportunities to apply AI-driven improvements within a large, diverse financial services group.

Qualifications

• Essential: Working knowledge of analytical tools and techniques including AI.
• Essential: Working knowledge of financial modelling.
• Essential: Working knowledge of contract management principles and practice.
• Desirable: Working knowledge of commercial negotiation techniques.
• Desirable: Foundation knowledge of contract law.
• Desirable: Foundation knowledge of end to end sourcing process.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory and key control requirements for outsourced supplier services.
• Ensure supplier charges are accurate and invoices paid on time per contract.
• Provide analytical and reporting support to Commercial Managers.
• Identify commercial opportunities and risks from industry trends.
• Lead supplier commercial governance including minutes and actions at governance meetings.
• Support development and application of Supplier Management best practice.
• Manage cost validation and forecasting cycles.
• Respond to queries from the business for contract information.
• Independently manage aspects of contracts and smaller projects.
• Explore and implement AI to drive efficiencies.
