Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer for the Cheshire area to service, maintain, repair and install commercial air conditioning systems across customer sites. The role includes PPM and reactive call-outs across various environments and requires independent work within a professional team.

You will handle fault finding on VRV/VRF and split systems, ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, and provide quotations with parts and labour.

Qualifications

• F‑Gas (2079) Category 1 is required.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or time served).
• City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience with VRV/VRF systems, split systems, chillers and AHUs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Able to pass a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairing air conditioning equipment.
• Carry out reactive maintenance, servicing, PPM and installations.
• Work on split systems, and VRV/VRF systems.
• Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota.
• Advise customers on repair or replacement of equipment.
• Provide information for quotations including parts, labour and equipment.
• Meet targets for Health & Safety, quality, compliance and profitability.
• Act as a technical expert within the regional team.
