Job summary

The People Pod, Bolton, is seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join a progressive independent Insurance Broker with strong growth in the North West. You will manage a client portfolio through new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals, delivering expert advice and building lasting relationships.

With at least 2 years in Commercial Insurance, you will bring strong technical knowledge and superb client-service skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Commercial Insurance experience in an Account Handler or Broker role.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
• Excellent attention to detail and client service skills.
• Open to learning and developing new skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a client portfolio and manage the insurance life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a client portfolio, managing the entire insurance life cycle from new business enquiries, mid‑term adjustments and renewals.
• Provide first‑class client services, expert advice and grow relationships.
• Develop a strong understanding of clients' business, requirements and risks.
• Underwrite risks within delegated authority.
• Handle day‑to‑day general customer enquiries from clients and insurers.

About You

• At least 2 years experience in Commercial Insurance as an Account Handler or Broker. A background in Underwriting with interest in transitioning to account handling will also be considered.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Superb communication and client‑service skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic personality, contributing to company culture.
• Open to learning new skills and continuous development.
