Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Colorectal Advanced Nurse (NHS AfC Band 7) to join the urgent suspected cancer pathway in Torquay. The post is 27.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a pro rata salary of £49,387–£56,515.

You will work with the colorectal specialist team to assess and manage USC referrals, deliver nurse-led services, and provide psychosocial support to patients and families.

Competenze

• NMC registered degree in adult nursing is required.
• Teaching and mentorship qualification is required.
• Evidence of continuing personal/professional development is expected.
• Non-medical prescribing qualification or ability to undertake is preferred.
• Postgraduate study in colorectal cancer is desirable.
• Masters level qualification or ability to work towards is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Work with the colorectal team to assess and investigate USC referrals.
• Provide highly specialised nursing care for suspected colorectal/anal cancer.
• Conduct nurse-led clinics, face-to-face or by telephone, ensuring proper pathways.
• Provide psychological support to patients and families.
• Work autonomously within clinical expertise boundaries; request investigations when appropriate.
• Contribute to service development, education, training and team building.
• Lead in education for staff, patients and carers and participate in audits and research.
