Job summary

Cambridge College in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to act as shift leader across dining rooms, supervising staff and delivering exceptional food and beverage service for dining rooms, events and conferences.

The role is permanent with a salary of £32,000 per annum plus overtime and benefits. It offers a full-time schedule of around 40 hours with 25 days holiday, free meals on duty, uniform and on-site parking.

• Proven supervisory experience in hospitality venues.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support staff to maintain high service standards.
• Deliver high-quality food and beverage service to Fellows, students and guests.
• Oversee servery operations, stock control and ordering.
• Coordinate service for formal dining, conferences and events.
• Liaise with kitchen and Conference & Events teams.
• Support staff rotas, induction and training.
• Ensure food hygiene, health and safety and COSHH compliance.
• Manage bookings and billing details accurately.
