Job Description

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Joining Eurofins' logistics team, this role involves working out of the Feltham site to make collections of food/water samples from customers around the UK, returning them to the laboratory.

Please note this is a full-time permanent role working 45 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 23:30.

1. Make collections of ambient and chilled food and water samples from customers’ premises throughout the UK according to a pre-planned regional route, using a company vehicle with internal chilled units, in accordance with company procedures and service levels.
2. Make collections of testing kits from hospitals around the UK, returning them to the laboratory.
3. Handle customer samples safely and appropriately, ensuring they are stowed correctly within the vehicle.
4. Respond positively to route changes deemed reasonable by the company.
5. Complete all paperwork accurately, including recording temperature and time on daily record sheets and reporting to the Logistics Management team.
6. Input all required information onto the company tablet.
7. Keep collection storage rooms clean and tidy at all times.
8. Clean fridges and spillages as needed.
9. Maintain sufficient bottle stocks at drop-off points.
10. Report faulty probes within fridge units at drop-offs.
11. Return collections to the site safely and securely.
12. Communicate regularly with the other driver about delays or changes to the meeting schedule.
13. Park the vehicle overnight at the designated place and manage off-duty periods with management approval.
14. Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks, report defects promptly, and report accidents or breakdowns.
15. Ensure the vehicle is locked and secure when unattended.
16. Maintain a professional appearance by wearing a clean, tidy uniform and keeping the vehicle clean and maintained.
17. Provide excellent internal and external customer care.
18. Participate in developmental training as required to meet company standards.
19. Drive company vehicles safely and courteously, complying with the Department of Transport and Highway Code regulations.
20. Take all reasonable actions to ensure safety and security of vehicles, equipment, goods, colleagues, and other road users.
