Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Collection and Network Driver at the Bradford Delivery Office. The role is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, 20 hours per week, across 5 days, 13:00–19:00. You’ll collect mail, deliver to customers and business sites, and support sorting and mail flow through processing centres.

Ideal candidates are adaptable, community-minded and comfortable working outdoors in all weather. A full UK licence with up to 6 penalty points is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Able to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong customer service mindset and community spirit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items on your route to customers and businesses.
• Check post-boxes and visit post offices as part of routine tasks.
• Collect mail from designated points and drop at processing centres.
• Sort mailbags and ensure items reach the correct location on time.

Please note:For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
