Job summary

National Museums Liverpool is seeking a Collections Documentation Officer to help improve the quality, consistency and accuracy of collections information during the migration of the Collections Management System from MIMSY XG to a successor system.

Based in Liverpool with hybrid working, you will carry out data cleansing, records auditing and documentation to prepare data for migration, working with Curatorial, Registration, Conservation and Archives to maintain standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with a collections management system in a museum, gallery, archive or library.
• Data quality management experience with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues to align with standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out data cleansing and records auditing to improve collection data.
• Prepare collections information for migration to a new CMS.
• Support maintenance of collections management standards across teams.
