Job summary

London Museum has an exciting opportunity for a Collection Care Conservator with a pragmatic approach to the care and management of collections across our sites.

You will support environmental monitoring and control across the new London Museum Spaces sites, manage risks during installation, assist with emergency planning, pest management and hazardous materials handling, and contribute to preventive conservation across stores. You will be a good team player and enjoy sharing ideas with others.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections care and preventive conservation within heritage institutions.
• Ability to confidently and independently solve collections care problems.
• Experience with environmental monitoring and managing risks during installation.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental monitoring and control across multiple sites.
• Manage risks associated with installation of collections and cabinets during moves.
• Assist with emergency response planning, pest management and hazardous collections handling.
• Contribute to preventive conservation across stores and all museum sites.
