London Museum is seeking a Lead Collections Move Technician with excellent art handling and museum technical service knowledge. You will lead a decant team, coordinate large-scale moves, and provide expert advice to ensure every object is moved safely and efficiently.
Based at London Museum Stores in Hackney with travel between sites, the role combines hands-on packing and object handling with line management of Museum Technicians to meet tight deadlines and high standards of care.

Working with a dedicated decant team and based at London Museum Stores in Hackney, with travel between sites as required, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work on the preparation and large-scale collections move project, sharing your experience of collections packing, object handling, and management of Museum Technicians to achieve the high standards that the project requires.
We are looking for a committed and proactive individual with experience in working with museum collections to join our team of collections management professionals working to achieve a complex move and installation programme. We are looking for someone with line management experience with a good awareness of how to create and maintain a positive working environment in a deadline driven and fast-paced environment.
