Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Collection and Network Driver at the Oldham Delivery Office. This fixed-term 9‑month role covers 20 hours per week, with shifts from 14:00 to 19:00 across Monday to Saturday.

You’ll help collect and deliver mail, visit post offices, and support processing centres with a strong customer focus. The role requires a full UK manual driving licence (up to 6 points) and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Happy to walk for long periods and work outside in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Deliver collections and mail on your route.
• Check post-boxes and visit post offices as required.
• Collect mail and drop at processing centres.
• Ensure correct routing of mailbags and timely deliveries.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full‑time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part‑time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
