Generator Power in Warrington seeks a dedicated General Labourer to support workshops and yards. You will perform daily cleaning, equipment washing, cable preparation, and assist with loading/unloading goods. The role requires teamwork, safe work practices, and adherence to company procedures.

Experience in general labouring and basic maintenance is valued. The position is full-time with on-site responsibilities across depots within the Generator Power group.

Formación

• Experience in general labouring and workshop/yard upkeep.
• Ability to perform manual handling and lifting tasks safely.
• Demonstrated teamwork and cooperation in a depot environment.
• Willingness to assist with cable prep and equipment cleaning.
• Basic maintenance tasks and repairs as requested by management.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general labouring duties as required.
• Keep workshops and yard areas swept and tidy daily.
• Prepare and store cables properly.
• Wash generators and equipment.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods.
• Coordinate with store person on yard needs and priorities.
• Handle minor repairs and odd jobs per instruction.
• Promote teamwork across depots and company-wide.
• Ensure assets are safeguarded and paperwork is complete.

Descripción del empleo

Duties/Responsibilities:

• General labouring duties.
• Ensure the workshops and yard areas are swept on a daily basis.
• Maintaining the tidiness of the workshop and yard areas.
• Preparation and storage of cables.
• Washing of Generators, Equipment.
• Liaise with Store person on yard requirements.
• Collecting fencing.
• Able to deal with maintenance issues at residential properties.
• Collection of goods.
• Minor repairs (odd jobs requested by MD and PA).
• Loading and unloading of equipment.
• Promote teamwork and co-operation at all times, both within individual depots and right across the entire Generator Power Group of Companies.
• Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
• Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect.
• Always act in the best interests of any of the Generator Power Group of Companies, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute.
• Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices.
• All information is to be dealt with in line with General Data Protection Regulations 2018.
• Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company - currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications.
• Proactively contribute to the company’s policy of continuous improvement.
• Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.
