Job summary

Pets at Home in Handforth is seeking a Colleague Relations Manager to lead and develop the Colleague Relations service across Retail, Vets and Support Office. You will manage a team of Specialists, Advisors and Coordinators, delivering fair, legally informed guidance to colleagues and leaders.

The role requires strong UK employment relations knowledge, experience with high‑risk cases, and a CIPD Level 5 qualification.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification is essential.
• Experience in colleague relations within a busy multi-site organisation.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment relations and related processes.
• Experience with ACAS, tribunal preparation or working with external legal advisers is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Colleague Relations service across the business.
• Coach and develop Colleague Relations Specialists, Advisors and Coordinators.
• Provide leadership on complex, high-risk colleague matters with empathy and judgement.
• Balance colleague experience with commercial reality and act with integrity.
• Shape service design via data, technology and better processes.
