Legal & General is seeking a Collateral Product Owner & Project Manager to shape and enhance its collateral management across cleared and bilateral derivatives. You will lead the end-to-end collateral operating model and collaborate with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Technology and Legal to drive impactful change.

The role focuses on EMIR/UMR regulatory programs, governance and risk management, and driving efficiency through technology transformations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with derivatives and collateral management in asset management, investment banking, or custody.
• Strong knowledge of both cleared and bilateral margining and collateral processes.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale operational, regulatory, or technology change programmes.
• Solid understanding of EMIR, UK EMIR, and UMR regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop end-to-end collateral operating model across cleared and bilateral derivatives.
• Define and deliver the strategic collateral roadmap, driving priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Lead collateral-related change initiatives including EMIR, UK EMIR, UMR, and technology transformation.
• Partner with Investments, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology and Operations to deliver outcomes.
• Enhance collateral processes, controls and workflows for efficiency and scalability.
• Oversee governance, risk management and regulatory compliance across collateral services.
• Manage relationships with clearing brokers, CCPs, custodians, counterparties and vendors.
• Monitor collateral performance and key controls to support improvement.
