Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield is hiring a Cocktail Bartender to join our busy resort bar, The Brabazon Bar. You will craft and serve cocktails, wines and beverages, welcome guests warmly, and upsell promotions in a fast-paced environment.

Late nights during the week and weekend shifts are required. Training is provided, and you’ll join a team recognised for excellence, with benefits including meals on shift, free parking, and access to wellness and development programs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy cocktail bar or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Passion for cocktails, drinks and hospitality.
• Ability to talk confidently about drinks menus and promotions.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and serve a wide range of cocktails, wines, spirits and beverages.

Salary

The base annual rate for this role is £12.71 per hour, plus service charge.

About the Role

This role will require late nights during the week and weekend working.

• As a Cocktail Bartender, you will be responsible for creating and serving a wide range of cocktails, mixed drinks, wines, spirits and beverages to our guests
• To welcome all guests in a polite, friendly and professional manner
• To deliver an exceptional guest experience from beginning to end
• To confidently talk about our drinks menus, signature cocktails and promotions, whilst identifying opportunities to upsell
• To prepare cocktails to a consistently high standard, ensuring presentation and quality are maintained at all times
• To take orders from guests efficiently and proactively ensure that all their needs are met
• Cleaning, stock rotation and excellent hygiene practices are a large part of this role
• To maintain a safe and organised bar environment, following all licensing and health & safety regulations
• To work across any of the resort's outlets that require assistance, ensuring the smooth running of the resort as a whole

About You

Previous experience in a busy cocktail bar, hotel bar or hospitality environment would be preferred, but you don't need experience to start your career with us at The Belfry Hotel and Resort. We have a great team that will provide training and give you all the skills you need to be successful. If you do have previous experience, that's great. We will help develop your skills and elevate your career within a department where you can thrive.
