Job summary

Balmoral Tanks is seeking a Coatings Engineer to develop and improve advanced coating technologies, including Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) and Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS), for global infrastructure projects. This hands-on role involves working with production, quality and technical teams to drive quality improvements.

You’ll be focused on building coating process expertise, monitoring performance, and supporting product development to ensure Right First Time, On Time, Every Time and a strong safety

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience would be helpful, but we’re also keen to hear from candidates with strong hands-on technical knowledge and a positive learning mindset.

You’ll work with advanced Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) and Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS) coating systems used in critical infrastructure projects around the world.

Your background

You might already be working in coatings, process engineering, manufacturing or materials - or you may have built relevant experience in another technical environment.

Relevant backgrounds

• Coatings Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Materials Engineer, Surface Treatment Specialist or Technical Development Engineer.

Experience in any of the following would be helpful, but curiosity, problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn are just as important:

Technical experience

• Surface preparation, industrial coatings, FBE systems, enamelling, furnace technology, process improvement, laboratory testing and manufacturing quality systems.

Key skills

• Analysing data, solving technical problems, communicating clearly, working with others, managing priorities and using evidence to improve performance.
