Job summary

The Inn Collection Group is seeking a General Manager for a landmark pub-with-rooms in Tynemouth. You will lead a dynamic team, oversee food and hospitality operations, and safeguard exceptional guest experiences while driving commercial success.

You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and senior leadership to plan budgets, manage costs, and maintain high standards across service, dining, and rooms.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hospitality teams in a fast-paced pub/restaurant environment.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and financial planning abilities.
• Proven track record in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the pub/rooms, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
• Plan budgets, monitor costs, and manage P&L in line with agreed targets.
• Develop and mentor senior team (head chef, head housekeeper, ops manager).
• Recruit, train, and performance-manage staff; build a positive workplace culture.
• Oversee guest needs during night shifts and maintain on-site presence when required.
• Drive commercial success through operational excellence and effective procedures.
