Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join the Coagulation section within Haematology, Blood Sciences at Dorset Pathology Hub.

Based at the Dorset Pathology Hub at Royal Bournemouth Hospital with occasional support at Poole Hospital, you will perform and interpret coagulation investigations, authorise results, and help maintain UKAS ISO 15189 standards.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
• BSc Biomedical Science or equvalent.
• IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Haematology/Transfusion or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret specialized coagulation investigations.
• Authorise results in line with protocols.
• Support compliance with UKAS ISO 15189 and service improvements.
• Contribute to training and development within the coagulation team.
