Prime Appointments Recruitment Agency is seeking a CNC Operator / Wood Machinist in Braintree, Essex. This hands-on workshop role combines CNC operation with basic wood assembly in a busy manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has CNC experience, works confidently with timber and joinery tools, reads technical drawings, and can operate a range of woodworking machinery. On-site, full-time with steady hours.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC operating experience.
• Experience with wood, timber or joinery products.
• Experience using cross saws, band saws, routers and table saws.
• Basic wood assembly or carpentry skills.
• Confident with hand and power tools.
• Able to follow technical drawings and instructions.
• Reliable and practical team player in a workshop.

Responsabilités

• Setting and operating CNC machinery within a woodworking environment.
• Operating woodworking machinery, including cross saws, band saws, routers and table saws.
• Machining timber components to required specifications.
• Reading technical drawings and following job instructions.
• Carrying out basic wood assembly and fitting work.
• Using hand and power tools to assemble and finish products.
• Checking finished components for quality and accuracy.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop.
