Prime Appointments Ltd. is recruiting a CNC Operator / Wood Machinist in Braintree to join a specialist timber manufacturing workshop. The role combines CNC operation with basic wood assembly to produce timber components for doors and joinery products.

You will read technical drawings, set and run CNC machinery, and ensure quality checks while maintaining a tidy, safe workshop. Experience in woodworking and with woodworking machinery is required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in a woodshop.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience with timber or joinery products preferred.

Responsabilités

• Setting and operating CNC machinery within a woodworking environment.
• Operating woodworking machinery, including cross saws, band saws, routers and table saws.
• Machining timber components to required specifications.
• Reading technical drawings and following job instructions.
• Carrying out basic wood assembly and fitting work.
• Using hand and power tools to assemble and finish products.
• Checking finished components for quality and accuracy.
• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop.
