Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd is seeking a CNC Operator/Wood Machinist to set up and run CNC woodworking machinery in Leeds. The role focuses on timber and board machining to precise specifications, ensuring quality and on-time delivery to production.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC woodworking machinery.
• Knowledge of beam saws, edge banders and CNC software such as WoodWOP and B:Solid.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work accurately to specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC machinery, beam saws and edge banders.
• Machining timber and board materials to customer specifications.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, labels and production paperwork.
• Ensuring components are delivered accurately and on time to production departments.
• Carrying out quality inspections and identifying faults or defects.
• Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop.
• Supporting the wider production team and undertaking general duties as required.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment in line with Health and Safety procedures.
