Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Barnsley to recruit a CNC Wood Machinist / CNC Saw Operator.

Set and operate CNC wood machinery, read drawings, set tooling and offsets, and ensure components meet tolerances. 37.5 hours, 13.25–14.50 p/h DOE + 10% shift allowance; 25 days leave, Christmas shutdown, free parking, and benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or time-served in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings precisely.
• Skilled in using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Experienced CNC Operator with wood.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery for the manufacture of wooden door components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and CNC programmes.
• Set tooling, offsets and machine parameters.
• Produce components accurately and efficiently to required tolerances.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.

CNC Wood Machinist / CNC Saw Operator:

Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team is delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Barnsley. We are currently supporting the business in their search for an enthusiastic CNC Wood Machinist / CNC Saw Operator to join their team.

• Shift: Morning and afternoon shifts available
• Hours: 37.5
• Hourly Rate: £13.25 - £14.50 p/h DOE + 10% shift allowance

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Wood Machinist / CNC Saw Operator:

• Set and operate CNC machinery for the manufacture of wooden door components
• Read and interpret technical drawings and CNC programmes
• Set tooling, offsets and machine parameters
