Job summary

Asper Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Ely to program, set and operate Morbidelli and Alfa CNC machines for timber door components. You will follow production paperwork, perform QC checks, and ensure on-time delivery of products.

Experience with 5-axis and 3-axis wood machining, and familiarity with Xilog Plus and X-Door is highly valued. Forklift licence is advantageous; strong attention to detail and safe working practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Programming and operation of Morbidelli and Alfa CNC machines.
• Experience with 5-axis and 3-axis wood machining (2–3 years).
• Familiarity with Xilog Plus and X-Door is a big advantage.
• Must follow production paperwork and QA checks.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and run CNC machines to spec.
• Check components during and after machining.
• Prepare materials and maintain dust extraction.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to procedures.
• Report delays to team leader and maximise uptime.
• Operate within H&S guidelines.
