Job summary

Rheinmetall UK in Telford is seeking an experienced CNC Operator (Turning Technology) to operate large CNC turning machines in a 3-shift onsite production. You will set up, run and measure parts against specifications, reading drawings and test procedures while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, report metrics and support maintenance to fix issues, with opportunities for growth as the new plant expands. This role is onsite in Telford.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNC-Operator with CNC turning technology.
• Ability to read specifications, technical drawings and test procedures.
• Proficient with jigs, fixtures and hand tools.
• Attention to quality control and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, set-up and operation of CNC turning machines in a 3-shift operation.
• Machining of components to tight tolerances for large calibre weapon systems.
• Production according to SAP production orders and instructions.
• Check and measure finished components per specs/test plans.
• Report production metrics through factory data system.
• Select correct tools per SWI.
• Contribute to process improvements for better performance.
• Support maintenance to fix equipment issues.
