Job summary

Optical Precision in the United Kingdom is seeking a CNC Turner Setter Operator to join the turning cell. You will read drawings, edit programs, set up CNC lathes, prove new programs, and maintain logs.

We require 3–5 years relevant production experience, ability to work overtime, and a detail‑oriented, can‑do attitude. Hours are 40 per week, pay £18–£20 per hour, with pension and private healthcare available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years relevant production experience.
• Experience setting and running CNC lathes.
• Overtime may be required in line with company needs.

Responsibilities

• Cleanliness of work station and maintenance of machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Edit programs to maintain size and tolerance.
• Use of manual measuring equipment.
• Loading and unloading parts onto machines.
• Programme proving of new products as required.
• Record changes to improve programs and machining performance.
• Adhere to quality, health & safety and environmental policies.
