Job summary

Polkadotfrog is seeking a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) in Bury St Edmunds for a permanent, day-shift role. You will operate CNC turning machines (Doosan/Haas) with Fanuc controls, handling first-off to low/medium batch production and contributing to prototypes and design changes.

The role offers a flexible day shift and a salary of £40,000–£45,000 with excellent benefits, in a modern air-conditioned shop. You will ensure quality through in-process inspection and tooling management.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC turning machines (Doosan / Haas).
• Experience using Fanuc controls.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision machining.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.
• Take jobs from first-off through to low and medium batch production.
• Support repeat production of established components.
• Work on new components, prototypes and design changes.
• Monitor tooling and maintain efficient machining processes.
• Carry out in-process inspection and quality checks.
