ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) for a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in the Liverpool area. The role involves setting and operating Fanuc-controlled turning machines to produce precision components to drawing tolerances.

You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, apply offsets and perform in-process checks, while maintaining a clean, safe work area. The position offers a permanent contract with a 3-day rotating week and strong earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Turner - Setter/Operator.
• Confident on Fanuc controls.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong operator capable of setting would also be considered.
• Reliable, quality-focused and a good team player.

CNC Turner - Setter/Operator (Liverpool)

Location: Liverpool (Speke area)

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £32,125 basic + 17% shift allowance = £37,586 per annum

Shift pattern: Rotating 3-day week (see below)

The opportunity

ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in the Liverpool area. This is a permanent role in a quality-focused machine shop, machining precision components on Fanuc-controlled turning machines - with an excellent 3-day working week and strong earnings.

The role

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines (Fanuc control)
• Producing precision components to drawing specification and tight tolerances
• Tooling selection, offsets and in-process checks
• Quality inspection of your own work to required standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

About you

• Experience as a CNC Turner - Setter/Operator

Shift pattern

A rotating 3-day week, 05:55-17:40 (11.75 hours per day):

• Week 1: Monday to Wednesday
• Week 2: Thursday to Saturday

Paid breaks: one 30-minute and three 15-minute breaks per shift.

• £32,125 basic plus 17% shift allowance - £37,586 per annum total
• A 3-day working week - four days off every week
• 15 shift days' holiday per year (equivalent to 25 days pro-rata), plus bank holidays (day in lieu where they fall off-shift)
