Job summary

Gooch & Housego Ilminster site in Somerset seeks a CNC Single Point Diamond Turning Setter/Operator to join a world-class optics manufacturing team. If you’re an experienced CNC Turner who works to micron/tiny tolerances, we’d love to hear from you.

The role is full-time, permanent, with rotational shifts and competitive pay plus a 20% shift premium after training and excellent benefits. We’ll train candidates with the right transferable skills on our specialist equipment.

G&H Ilminster in Somerset is looking for a CNC Single Point Diamond Turning Setter/Operator to join our world-class optics manufacturing team.

You may not have worked with Single Point Diamond Turning before, but if you're an experienced CNC Turner who regularly works to micron or sub-micron tolerances, we'd love to hear from you.

We're particularly interested in people from industries such as:

• Aerospace & Defence
• Semiconductor
• Medical Devices
• Precision Engineering
• High-specification Manufacturing

In this role you'll be producing ultra-precision optical components for demanding, mission-critical applications, achieving sub-micron tolerances and nanometre-level surface finishes using advanced CNC diamond turning technology.
