Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience, demonstrating proficiency with measuring equipment and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Job description

Main Purpose of Job:
The role involves setting and operating various machinery (including CNC, Mazak, etc.), to set up and prepare materials and tooling for upcoming jobs, working from engineering drawings to produce precision components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set and operate CNC turning and turn/mill machines – Mazak (Smooth C, G and X)
2. Change machine settings from one job to another within a set time frame
3. Read and understand programs
4. Use micrometers, verniers, and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets
5. Meet desired quantities, conduct in-process inspections, and check against drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and high standards
6. Handle technical queries when required
7. Support colleagues with other duties to ensure smooth operations
8. Work according to the company's quality system and processes
9. Be punctual at all times
10. Report issues promptly to the Unit Manager or Supervisor
11. Adhere to health and safety requirements and complete necessary training
