Our clients based in Portsmouth have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Setter Operator to join their growing team.

As a CNC Machinist, you must be able to set & operate CNC lathes to produce precision components for a variety of industries.

The successful candidate will be a fully skilled engineer with CNC experience and the ability to set and operate Fanuc controlled machines.

Job Requirements:

• Produce accurate, high-quality components.
• Undertake any off set or minor changes to programmes to produce quality components to drawing limits/customer requirements.
• Good understanding of Engineering drawings.
• Experience in machining various metals.
• Confidence in working to tight tolerances and checking your own work during production batch runs.
• Adhere to production schedules.
• Able to set machine within allocated times and improve required run rates where possible.
• Adhere to ISO9001:2015 quality standard requirements.

Required Skills:

• CNC Turning experience.
• Ability to read and adjust a machine when setting.
• Setting and operating experience.

Hours of Work:

7.30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday

30 minutes lunch 11.45am – 12.15pm

7.30am – 11.45am Friday (No lunch)

Extras:

Overtime on a business needs basis:

Mon – Friday: Time and third

Saturday: Time and half
