Job summary

Pro Contract Direct in Liverpool is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled lathes in a busy turning team.

You will read engineering drawings, develop CNC programs, choose tooling, run parts from castings to bar stock, and inspect finished components to tolerances. The role includes overtime, a permanent full-time contract, and a competitive salary with bonus potential and pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• At least two years' experience in CNC turning.
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Ability to read detailed engineering drawings and plan machining methods.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes.
• Manufacture one-off components and small batches.
• Create CNC programs from detailed drawings and select tooling.
• Prove programs and perform rough and finish machining.
• Inspect components and ensure tolerances meet drawings.
