Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Leighton Buzzard is seeking an experienced CNC Turner & Programmer to write new CNC programs from scratch for 2-axis turning machines. The role requires strong G-code skills and the ability to set up from engineering drawings to finished components.

Fanuc controls experience is preferred but not essential; hoist training is provided and the successful candidate will work with a range of metals on parts from small to large.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC turning machines.
• Strong knowledge of G-code programming and full machine set-up from drawing to finished part.
• Ability to edit and optimise existing programs.
• Understand engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finishes and in-process inspection.
• Experience producing one-off and low-to-medium-volume components in metals.
• Capable handling parts from 25 mm x 100 mm to 300 mm x 3 m; hoist training provided.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate 2-axis CNC turning machines.
• Edit and optimise existing CNC programs as needed.
• Interpret engineering drawings and maintain tolerances.
• Ensure quality through in-process inspection and correct tooling selection.
