Job summary

GI Group is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their engineering team in Leicester. You will program, set and operate Fanuc turning machines to produce high quality components across various industries.

The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, working with steel, aluminium and other metals, and ensuring quality standards. Competitive overtime: 1.5x Mon-Sat after 40 hours and 2x Sundays, with a yearly bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Turner Programmer/Setter.
• Competent with Fanuc controlled turning machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining a variety of metals.

Responsibilities

• Produce bearing housings, one-off parts and prototypes.

What You'll Be Doing

• CNC turning, programming and setting using Fanuc controls
• Producing bearing housings, custom one off parts and prototype components
• Working with steel, aluminium, cast iron, and other materials
• Supporting general workshop tasks when required
• Ensuring all work meets quality and accuracy standards

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience as a CNC Turner Programmer/Setter
• Confident programming and setting Fanuc controlled machines
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience machining a variety of metals
• Reliable, accurate and quality focused

Time & a half Monday-Saturday after 40 hours

Double pay on Sundays
