Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd in Clevedon seeks an experienced CNC and/or Manual Turner to join a small, skilled engineering team. You will produce precision components for varied customers, operating CNC turning machines and manual lathes with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years machining experience.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced CNC and/or Manual Turner to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who takes pride in their work, enjoys varied engineering projects and is looking for a stable, long-term position.

Key responsibilities

• Operating, setting and programming CNC turning machines using ProtoTRAK, Fanuc and/or Siemens controls, alongside manual turning machines.
• Manufacturing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Selecting appropriate tooling, machining methods and processes to achieve the required results.
• Carrying out first-off inspections and checking components to ensure they meet drawing specifications and quality standards.
• Working independently to plan and complete machining tasks efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working collaboratively with the wider engineering team to resolve machining challenges and deliver quality components on time.

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years machining experience.
• Experience in CNC turning, manual turning, or both.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
• Experience with ProtoTRAK, Fanuc and/or Siemens controls would be advantageous.
• A strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and component inspection.
• A methodical approach, with a commitment to quality and precision.
• The ability to use your own initiative while contributing positively to a close-knit team.
