CNC Turner/Programmer (XYZ)

Location: Birmingham

Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to 17ph DOE

Working Hours: Mon- Fri, Early finish on Fridays

About the Role

Are you an experienced CNC Turner/Programmer looking for a new opportunity? Pertemps is working exclusively with a well-established business in North Birmingham. We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner/Programmer to join the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to produce metal and plastic parts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop CNC programmes for vertical XYZ turning machines.
2. Develop tooling and fixtures for smooth production.
3. Carry out quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
4. Assist team members and other departments as needed.
5. Utilise logic controllers to optimize machine performance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Siemens programming systems for CNC turning machines.
• Knowledge of Fanuc and Mazatrol systems is a plus.
• Willingness to share knowledge with apprentice CNC setters.
• Accurate measurement and inspection skills.
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations.
