Job summary

CMP Products Limited in Cramlington is seeking a skilled CNC Turner with strong turning experience to join our manufacturing site. You will set and operate CNC machines to produce components from brass, stainless steel and aluminium, ensuring parts meet engineering drawings.

The role is full time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation (10 x 12 hour shifts over 21 days). You will read and edit CNC programs, monitor tooling, use precision measuring equipment and uphold SOPs and risk

Qualifications

• Experience setting and programming Fanuc or Mori Seiki controls.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and read engineering drawings.
• Experience using a wide range of measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure processes follow Risk Assessments and SOPs.
• Set/operate duties within target times.
• Read and edit CNC programs to optimise quality/output.
• Monitor tooling for wear, adjust offsets or replace as needed.
• Use measuring equipment to complete inspections per Control Plan.
• Identify and report non-conforming components per SOP.
• Complete system transactions related to the role.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times.
• Perform pre-shift and maintenance checks per plant requirements.
